contents comment: Having gone through two installs and removals, I would recommend including one of those metal eyelash combs instead of the plastic hair comb. The plastic can be quite fragile in comparison. I couldn't have gone through a removal and detangling hair if I didn't have my metal eyelash comb. Would recommend including more than two plastic clips.

informational content comment: I believe since my install kit, the DVD instructions have been updated. I felt that the one I received was a little amateurish, I think that the time and cost should be taken to have a more professional video made with a lot of "zooming in" shots of the bond during installation and during removal.

difficult steps: The learning curve is quite large but once you get the hang of it the install gets easier and with better bonds. Had to makeshift a mirror stand when doing the back of my head otherwise it would have taken a full day just to feel out the back!

comments: Still love the Manemaxx system and going on my third install. It's lightweight and easy to wear and NOBODY can tell that I'm wearing extensions! My only qualm is the longer my hair grows out, the further away from my scalp I can use a straightener or curler for my hair so I don't end up melting the Tembond. Yes

about removal: I have a very hard time with the removal process. Everytime I twist to try to break the bond, the bond is still left over in my hair. It leaves for a very painful brushing.
(From us @ MANEMAXX: After many months of wearing the extensions, you will have shed hairs that tangle around the root hairs, from washing/drying, etc) and this is what holds some of that bond in your hair after removing. Those little tangles that the strand-by-strand extensions produce are a standard result of wearing strand by strand extensions. Comb those shed hairs out carefully so that you aren't pulling on your own hair.)
comments: I am an active socalite for my college. And there are many times when I have to get up and speak, or be one of the main attractions for hosting events. My sorority sisters and I have to maintain a certain appearance and we do with Manemaxx! We love how edgy and sophisticated we look! It has truely given us so much confidence and we love to tell everyone about your product!

unsuccessful because: I did lose a few bonds because the hair bundles were too large, also at one point the bond was too hot and therefor too thin to make a good bond.

comments: It is the best product out there. Any other system just ruins the hair or you have to buy expensive clip-in's that do not look that great - plus they fall off... Tembond is the greatest hair extension system ever!! I researched so many types of extensions and the application process and nothing beats Tembond. I would recommend this product to anyone that has always wanted to have extension, but were to scared to try it!

successful application: I read the directions extensively, and I had help with my installation. For the first instal, it is important to have help. Once you get some practice (maybe doing someone else's hair) you can do your own hair pretty easily.

value comment: I ordered the Remi Hair, 18" of the #613 (lightest blonde) with an additional 2 ounces of a medium brown. Since my natural hair is medium brown, the extra 2 ounces of hair helps my roots to mix in better, and the color looks very natural.

successful application: It went very well, had my husband help we we too 12 hours to put it in. I then had a problem with them getting mushy so decided to take out the soft ones and reinstall them and then use a small makeup brush and dipped in the bond and coat each one and gently roll it to make a secure hold with no weak spots. I have to say, they still get soft after they are in a day or so, so I find by washing my hair every other day makes them go back to a harder bond but the key is to rinse very well and dry very well and finish off with a cool setting on them.
(NOTE FROM TT: The difference may be between what is on top, drying quicker verses what is underneath and maybe product isn't being rinsed off well enough. Cleansing products, gels and such could cause the bonds to become a little mushier in areas underneath the others if it isn't rinsed off. All that hair is hard to rinse thoroughly so take your time :) The gummy, soft, flexible bonding is part of the plan for comfortable and safe wear. Your hair isn't snapped under a "hard" bond but allowed to move a little within the soft, flexible bond. Perfect rinsing and drying tip for everyone up there. I, too, find rinsing and drying well gives me long, loss-free wear of the extensions!)
Tiffany was awesome through all my issues. She anwered every question and gave suggestions, and also requested me to send her some that come out so she can see them. She stands by her awesome product and I applaud her for this excellent customer relations!!! She also sent me new bond to use since I used almost all of it trying to work through all my issues. I will say that it does take time and is an adjustment, but it is awesome once you find the way for it to work best for you. I also found out that you can use a little corn starch on the hair first before applying bonds to help keep the hair from slipping, thought I would pass that along to help anyone!!!!

My extensions were put in about 3 weeks ago and although I have lost a few, most of them are still attached and still feel pretty firm.

comments: I have curly hair so I had to purchase the curly hair extensions. I do have a suggestion that will make the process a lot easier. Before you cut the hair from the weft straighten the ends of the hair that are going to be attached to your hair. Make sure to do this before you cut them from the weft though because at first I had cut it from the weft and then straightened the ends and they didn't get very straight which made it difficult to apply them. After I started straightening them while they were still on the weft then cutting them off they were much straighter and much easier to apply. Also the only other problem I had was that my husband actually did the application of the extensions for me and he kept burning his hands because they were a little to big for the dipping part. My resolution to that problem for my next application is to purchase more tembond and heat it with the tembond I still have left so that there will be more tembond making it higher to the top of the melting pot and he will not have to dip the extension as far down as to not burn his hand.

I starting using smaller bundles which is very important if you have thin hair llike I do, also using a flat iron on your hair and extensions before made things alot easier. after washing instad of trying to brush or comb the extensions i would start on one side and just carefully run my fingers threw starting at the bottom anr working my way up threw my hair seperating all the strands - that really helped with working threw the tangles. The best shampoo and conditioner to use is definately the pureology antifade complex hydrating shampoo and conditioner- its a little expensive but its worth it and I was able to get it from our local Fred Meyer Store which was nice and easy. I love my extensions!!!

(From us @ MANEMAXX: One block of TemBond is enough for 2 "average" full head applications and some practice, even more. Sometimes too much is used the first time but usually once you get accustomed to the process, you will also get used to making the bonds smaller, so later you will really feel your bond is lasting a very long time. A fresh piece here and there is a good idea, too. Once every 6 months , or 5 "heatings", I clean out my pot completely and put in a new piece. We'll look at this, though. Thanks!)

informational content comment: I felt the booklet was very thorough. I watched the dvd with the 2 others who helped with my hair and this was the only item we all agreed should definitely be altered. We weren't able to tell what she was doing during the application. It also seemed to be too long and....lacked a professional quality. My suggestion would be a redo of it. I would have her demonstrate on another person using a different color of hair from the person at least for one demo for the sake of seeing clearly what is happening. The dipping process should be clearly filmed at the beginning. I think the idea of showing short clips of "step 1" then show the separation of hair pieces on head. "step 2" then show the dipping process "step 3" show the application. I would also demonstrate the sectioning at the crown as this was the most difficult part for us.
(From us @ MANEMAXX: I hope you will use all of the instructional components together and I agree that an updated video is in order. I will thoughtfully take into account al of your suggestions and as soon as we can, we will put it together. Thanks so much for sharing them!)

difficult steps: I tried to put these in myself initially and my arm almost fell off trying to do the back. The tembond got cool too quickly and didn't slide toward the root when the hair was lifted. It was set on the highest setting. I am not sure if this matters but thought i'd mention it.
(From us @ MANEMAXX: You want to be sure that you can maybe at least style the back of your own hair --lifting your arms to work back there-- before doing this process totally yourself. You need to get the extension to your hair quite quickly which is part of the learning process, too. The bond was drying before you got it there and could lift it. Most importantly the seeping needs to happen for you to get the hold.)

comments: I would highly recommend getting a better quality of hair and just selling that. I would have purchased the regal if i knew it was better quality. If i don't brush it every 30 min or so, it looks stringy and kind of greasy. I would like to add that the customer service with manemaxx was outstanding! I was sooo impressed with the timeliness of responses and the understanding of the product. She was extremely helpful and it created a sense of loyalty for me. If another company was selling it, I would still use manemaxx, because they really make an effort to take care of all customer needs and concerns.
(From us @ MANEMAXX: Each hair product we sell has been carefully selected for the reasons stated on the site. All over the site and forum are comments on the quality of the Regal Remi hair so "getting" a higher quality is not the issue or even possible, but this "highest quality" product is not always in every customer's budget which is why we offer the Basic Hair, which, for example I was just sent this comment "The hair quality from the basic kit was good and it matched my hair so well, I was pleasantly surprised." When car shopping, we'd all probably prefer to drive a Mercedes, but is it even reasonable to say that a Chevrolet should not be offered? Hopefully that will help explain why we do offer the 2 different hair products. Perhaps it is a product used on the extension hair which causes it to look "greasy and stringy?" Be sure to rinse, rinse, rinse when washing. And then rinse again. You will be amazed at how nice your hair can look for days when getting all that product off =) (And PUREOLOGY Hydrate is wonderful on the extension hair and the natural hair, as well. I get compliments all the time on how shiny my hair looks and that is my best tip!!)

about removal: GREAT! I wanted to move the color around during that first week. too heavy with blonde in some areas and needed to break it up a bit. but it was easy. I had plenty of hair left over to add more brown where I thought I needed it. That is what is so great. comments: I can't believe how affordable GOOD hair extensions can be! I thought i would never have strand by strand because how could I do it myself? And I was told my hair was too damaged to withstand it. And even if i could I could not afford to spend $1500 to do it! And now I do and it did not break me. I'll never use anything else again! After losing so much hair due to having a tumor removed from my brain last year, (Benign thank god!)I then had TWO colorists damage my hair to the point of no return, I was left with thin, thin damaged hair that had to be cut. Too short for my tastes. I thought I would be stuck that look for years. I went to glued wefts with made my hair even worse! I then found Manemaxx.
This is such a wonderful method that really anyone can do. Here I thought I would never be able to have strand by strand because of the level of difficulty doing it myself or the exorbitant cost of that type of method. Not only can I have healthy LOOKING hair but this allows me to grow out the
damaged hair i have already and keep it chemical free but any color I choose. Even if you did not care for long hair but wanted only chemical free color, this will work for you. The hair is soft and luxurious and will last a while. I tell whomever will listen about this amazing product.

You have to be gently with you hair and not pull you own hair out while coming the tembond out, if i doesn't crumble either rub the tembond in you hands until it does or take a flat iron to it.

I learned that from another web site...its called the ""waterfall effect and it is why you can get a lot of breakage even using a safe product like Tembond.

But if you do use that method...buy a cheap flat iron ( I have a $200 CHI)I bought one at Target for $14.00. It leaves a little residue on the iron.
comments: Totally great!!! Performed exactly like it advertised. Do not get overwhelmed...start out small...maybe aim to make you hair thicker at first not longer (I cut my test pieces to the length of my hair to blend)...then on your next install go for length!!! Def use another mirror to get the angle This system delivered exactly what it promised. There is a learning curve attaching the bonds, but also a wide margin of error. You can have a successful install without being "perfect". Saved me a ton of money (my Microlocs professional install cost over a thousand dollars with hair)and lets my creative side take over. I'm currently pregnant with my fourth child and I'm already thinking forward to the next install...adding volume but not length so my hair looks full but at just below shoulder length, way easier to care for with a new baby. Adding highlights, texture or a color change without all the damage....the possibilities are endless. Great product, great customer service...I already ordered a refill pack!!!

Its great that i dont need trips to salons on installing, during wear or removal. And It is so versatile to use. During wear, I can add extra strands, or different colors in whenever i want. (NOTE FROM TT: We shouldn't have any bad batches as happened once in the first year. We could have a little different reaction from the bond in hot/humid weather vs. cold/dry air. Warm/humid gives you more time to allow the bond to seep. Also, occasionally scraping the bottom of the pot to mix the drying agent that sinks to the bottom which will hopefully help the bond dry faster..(I think you mean by tackier?))

My boyfriend and I recently moved and we don't know too many people around here. I have long, fine/thin hair and used smaller bundles off the weft for my strands. I had a hard time lining it up with my hair before the tembond started cooling. It was especially hard in the back of my head.

difficult steps: I did watch the video tutorials online quite a few times each before I ordered and watched the dvd a couple times too as I practiced on a mannequin head. Even with plenty of mirrors and light and hours of practice, I couldn't get the hang of putting them on the back of my own head fast enough before the bond hardened some. I did get used to handling the tembond and it's consistency so I was able to softly roll them while they were still warm and soft, as long as I kept it on the highest setting. Sometimes a bond would harden by the time I lined the hair up correctly so I would dip the rat tail comb into the tembond and add a drop or two to the bond to soften it up and gently roll it. They still feel REALLY secure after two days. I only have 3 rows in my hair right now and does look thicker but I need to remove them and try again and hopefully be able to make at least 5 rows to make it look natural. For me, a tool for applying the tembond would be very helpful. Something like a dropper would work so I could just add it to the hair AFTER I line it up--at least for the very back of my head. I did get okay at adding them to the sides of my head.
(NOTE FROM TT: We suggested here that installing in warmer, more humid conditions may help in giving more time to line up before the bond dries and hardens. We thought a space heater to warm the area might be a smart idea when just getting used to this product or when it is colder outside, too! DON'T ROLL THE BOND INTO YOUR HAIR AT ALL. The bonds might feel secure for little while but they won't last!)

I then showed my husband and he didn't believe it was true. So I asked him if I found out where to buy it could he put it in? He said sure it looks easy! I couldn't find out where to buy the TemBond so I google it and got to the manemaxx site. I read the reviews. Then I decided to google the TemBond and Manemaxx again. As a result I stumbled upon an Do it yourself (DIY) website.
There was a unexpected amount of dialoge going on about TT. I read each and everyone tip. Then after my kit came I watched the DVD, youtube video, and took another peek at the DIYer site and manemaxx websites. Both were very helpful!

The reason this happened is because i have 22 inch extensions and I did the bonds so thin and rounded like tooth picks. I can move my hair any way and make a part down the middle from the head to the back of my neck and not have any bonds show! I saw that others said the bonds were big or bulky but my tembond was so hot as I attached it I also rounded the bond perfectly!

comments: I had dreadlocks in my hair for about a year and decided that I wanted to have my long hair back. I was concerned with products that would damage my hair, as I knew I may not be left with much after removing my dreadlocks. It took 2+ days to get my locks out and heavy conditioning. I finally got around to doing my hair afew days ago. My friend helped me, and it was quite easy once we did afew strands and go into the routine of it. I love my hair. It makes such a big difference. One strand did come out the day after, but that was only because it wasnt quite in properly, and i just warmed the pot up and re dipped it in afew mins, and ive had no trouble with it at all now. Not lost any more stands at all, and they are extremely secure. Not bad for the 1st attempt! And I still had some hair left over that I didnt need to use. Also I was really suprised how much Tembond I had left in the pot.. mre than enough left for a second application. I love my hair!! Thank you for a fantastic product!! it has totally changed my look! I have worn extensions before including, braid, strands, fusion, metal, some are oh so hard to get out and oh so damaging to your hair! They can be very hard to disguise and did I mention how itchy microrings are? Just letting you know i have been using the tiffany twist TemBond since they first started, and ive never gone back!! this stuff is awsum!! i put my extensions in on the 1st of march, and they lasted until december!!!! and i only lost like 4 .!! everyone always comments on how long and healthy my hair looks, and no one even knows theyre extensions!!.... taking them out is easy, and now i can even put them in myself!!.i convinced all my friends to ditch their $5000 hair dresser extensions that rip out and matt their hair, and now me and all the girls use TemBond.

Just to let you know I got my extensions about 11:30 and by 2:00 I had two layers in all around my head. I was very pleased with the amount of hair that was in the kit. I cut them to match my length as I was going for fullness instead of length. I only had one to fall out. I guess I didn't have it connected well. At first the ends looked odd and then I thought to curl the ends with a curling iron. My hair looks great. I know if I took more time I could even do a better job but I am so impressed with how easy it is. I can't wait to wake up in the morning with my new hair. The color is a perfect match. difficult steps: The only difficulty I had, and I know it's a learning curve, is lining up my hair strand with the extension strand at the center back of my head. I, personally,need to create a set up in my bathroom with a mirror, to see the back of my head better and closer. Also, I realized after a few days, that I might have 'tapped' too much excess, when dipping in the tembond. Then combined with too much of my finger pinching at the top of the strand, has made the bond too thin at the top, and the extension hair is exposed. Unfortunately the extension hair I purchased (from another vendor) went bad within a week, so the exposed top part has become itchy on my scalp. I am bearing with it tho, haha, until I get together with a friend to do her hair, and she can do the center back of my head for me.

For strands that I have removed myself, I've learned that if you want to reuse the hair, it is important to have a firm hold on the extension strand as a whole, when gently pulling it away. If not, the extension hair can get messed up, and the strand bundle is lost.
comments: This was my first go at installing any sort of strand method. I researched other methods, and read stories of the damage occurring. As I was going to do this on myself, by myself, I wanted to eliminate any potential risk, and was seeking the least damaging method. Then I found out about Tiffany Twist. Once I tried it out on my mannequin head, I could clearly tell there wasn't going to be any damage to my natural hair, no matter how much I messed up a bond! I love that this product is so uncomplicated to use, that is, no juggling of any tools that slow down your install...needle hooks, fusion irons, protector plates, links, etc. I can't imagine using any other install method, such as fusion, or shrink tubes, that consist of such complicated removal processes with potential for damage. I was so excited to receive my DIY Tembond Kit with Remi Hair. The hair was just beautiful, soft and silky! My first attempt at application was easier than I expected and my bonds are holding very well. I lost a few that I had not attached properly to enough hair. This was easy to replace and correct. My hair was too short and too thin for the application but I used a 3 in. weft section on top with clip ins added to it and that covered and helped to blend my extention bonds! I was really pleased! Thank you for such a great product! I can't believe how having long natural looking locks has improved my confidence level! It's a very good feeling to like what you see in the mirror! Carla

I have washed my hair only one time since my attachments and they are just as tight as yesterday. Difficult steps: Determining how much bond to use. As I kept going I got the hang of it. Needless to say my first section the bond was a little thick & bulky.

About removal: That's why I chose to try this system. It removes so easy with and I highly recommend it.
Comments: I've had hair extensions before and had a horrible experience (with glue). I can't even tell these are in. They're very lightweight. LOVE THEM!!!!!!
